The Project Group

The project group is a group of members who volunteer to support the Executive, inform and widen the knowledge and views of the Executive and undertake specific projects as required for example;

ITP Editor Independent Talking Points

This role involves coordinating, editing information and printing of the quarterly editions of ITP to keep members informed of what happening in the organisation.

Other individuals may take on particular responsibilities such as;

  • Attending as an observer at RCSLT Council Meetings
  • Looking at issues such as insurance, supervision and updating the Constitution

ASLTIP currently has one member who is also on the Professional Development Board at RCSLT and is therefore able to promote ASLTIP and raise issues of concern to the ASLTIP membership with RCSLT directly.

All members of the Executive and Project Group are expected to take full part in the discussions at the meetings. Any member of the Executive or Project Group may be called upon to form a sub-committee if a complaint has to be investigated.

Members of the Project Group may later become members of the Executive and vice versa, however this is not a prerequisite for becoming a member of the Executive.

Members of the Executive and Project Group receive an honorarium for their work and travel expenses are paid.
