The project group is a group of members who volunteer to support the Executive, inform and widen the knowledge and views of the Executive and undertake specific projects as required for example;
Helen Woodrow is currently responsible for organizing and running the very successful Starting in Independent Practice courses.
Mary Hampton the previous ASLTIP Chair is currently undertaking a pilot project to represent ASLTIP members at council. Her reports are available in the member area.
Alison Buckley is responsible for communicating directly with local group coordinators and feeding back comments to the Executive.
Other individuals may take on particular responsibilities such as;
All members of the Executive and Project Group are expected to take full part in the discussions at the meetings. Any member of the Executive or Project Group may be called upon to form a sub-committee if a complaint has to be investigated.
Members of the Project Group may later become members of the Executive and vice versa, however this is not a prerequisite for becoming a member of the Executive.
Members of the Executive and Project Group receive an honorarium for their work and travel expenses are paid.
