  • Thinking about working independently?
  • Occasionally seeing some clients in the private sector?
  • Unsure what your next career move is?
  • Unclear whether independent working is the right career move?
  • Scared by the enormity of the transition from public to private sector?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions you owe it to yourself to be well informed before you make the decision. You can’t afford to miss this course!

This course has been designed and will be run by Speech & Language Therapists who have considerable experience and enthusiasm for working in independent practice.

The course is aimed at Speech & Language Therapists with at least two years clinical experience who are thinking about, or who have recently set up an independent practice – whilst possibly still employed by the NHS.

The course will take delegates through the process of getting started in independent practice, highlight different models of working independently. It will guide you through the professional issues of insurance, finance, working with others and business planning. Delegates will be able to take away the comprehensive membership information pack along with all of the course materials.

Share your thoughts and ideas, hear real life stories, brainstorm common queries and have all of your questions answered. Then, you can decide whether independent practice is for you.

Please note that attendance at this course includes the eligibility to join ASLTIP at a discounted rate for the following year. If you are already a member, then you will eligible for a discount at renewal by sending in your course attendance certificate.
